Since we opened our doors in 2009, we have been specialising in complex transactions, which included interaction with a large number of participants: corporations, government departments and agencies, media representatives, experts and the general public. By exercising a balanced approach and careful consideration of the interests of all parties involved, Avicon delivers results that reflect our customers’ goals, strategies and priorities, while maintaining exemplary levels of integrity.
In 2011, Avicon was a recipient of the prestigious Cross-Border Deal of the Year award from M&A Advisor (U.S.) for its role in the reorganisation of Boeing / Sea Launch Company under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code. This work, which had taken us almost 2 years, was of an extremely demanding nature and complexity. Apart from the reorganisation itself, the company had to be relocated to another jurisdiction, and because the company operated under strict US government regulations and possessed a large number of licenses, issued by US State Department, Department of Defense and others, as a part of its on-going operational integrity, the company had to go through the complicated CFIUS process, where Avicon also played a lead role. Overall, Avicon was responsible for the design and implementation of the framework and most elements of the transaction.
This unique transaction articulated Avicon’s ability to handle large complex projects; as a result, Avicon partners have gained invaluable experience and contacts within the industry throughout this significant cross-border transaction.
